Daniel Mills has 20 years of teaching experience, with 4 years at Northwest Music, 6 years at Burts music, and 10 years independently. He is also author of the book “How to Improvise on the Guitar with Scales and Modes, The Son of Brad Method”. He is able to teach beginners (from 7 years old up), as well as advanced guitarists. He has a masterful knowledge of rock/jazz/classical scale and chord theory. Daniel is classically trained with 4 years of formal classical guitar training under Dr. Paul Grove and completed the North Idaho College Music program in 1999. Whether you want to sing, and play guitar well enough to accompany your voice, or if you want to learn to improvise great rock jazz or country lead guitar solos, or if you are seeking to study classical guitar, Daniel is an expert in the theoretical And technical approach to achieving these goals. Some of his students have gone on to become professional performers and two of them received music scholarships to Hillsdale College in 2020. Daniel also performs over one hundred nights per year under the moniker Son of Brad. He has opened for members of Carlos Santana, Ray Charles, Everclear, Alex De Grassi, Ugly Kid Joe, Trevor Hall, Dispatch Elliot Smith, The Samples, Reel Big Fish and more.
